Job Description:

Reporting to the President, as an Accounting Technician you will become an integral part of our experienced team and actively contribute to our continued growth. Our firm specializes in commercial, business and civil law, offering cutting-edge expertise to a varied and exciting clientele.

Responsibilities :

Accounting :

  • Good knowledge of the complete accounting cycle.
  • Management of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Billing management.
  • Efficiently supervise accounting activities and coordinate.
  • Responsible for bank compilation.
  • Prepare payroll for each employee (Nethris)
  • Ensure that government rebates and other priority receivables are prepared according to schedule, such as: GST/QST, RAS, CNESST, etc.
  • Prepare year-end accounting package and review with external auditor.
  • Any other related tasks required for the smooth running of the position.

Human Resources (an asset) :

  • Keep each employee file up to date with relevant changes.
  • Support in managing health and safety files.
  • Management of pay equity files.
  • Maintain good relations, communication and harmony with other team members.
  • Participate in the staffing process in the initial stages of recruitment, i.e. job posting, reception and sorting of resumes, as well as telephone interviews.

Requirements:

  • DEP or DEC in accounting;
  • 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience;
  • Very good knowledge of the Windows environment and Microsoft Office Suite functions;
  • Knowledge of Juris Concept billing software an asset;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken French and English, as you will be required to communicate invoices and statements of account to our 50% English-speaking clientele;
  • Attention to detail, communication skills, discretion and honesty;
  • Resourcefulness, autonomy, sense of responsibility;
  • Attention to detail, rigor and strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to work in a team and promote a good working climate.
