The Centre multi-ressources de Lachine is a community organization where it’s good to meet, exchange ideas, share knowledge and help each other. A wide range of activities and services are offered for all ages, to build social ties, provide a safety net and support the autonomy of all community members.

Job Description:

The Centre multi ressources de Lachine is looking for an animator for a permanent contract of 21 hours per week (3 days per week).

Responsibilities:

• Create and prepare face-to-face (or sometimes online) group activities for families;
• Lead and co-lead face-to-face (or sometimes online) fun and/or educational activities with families;
• Support drop-in educators with snacks, outings, etc;
• Organize fitness activities for seniors;
• Co-host activities for seniors: short film project, literary project, art project, etc.

Qualifications :

• Be dynamic, versatile, creative, autonomous and able to make proposals;
• Enjoy working with children and seniors;
• It’s important to be able to adapt to an intergenerational audience;
• Experience with early childhood and/or seniors a big plus;
• Good interpersonal skills and unfailing discretion (confidentiality);
• Have a theoretical background and/or significant experience in: animation, social work, intervention, psychology, special education or any relevant related field;
• Have checked the itinerary to CMRL before applying (we are located in Lachine);
• Hiring conditional on no criminal record;
• Open to occasional Saturday work;

• You have a valid driver’s license;
• You speak French and are fluent in English and/or Spanish;
• You have experience and/or an appetite for working with children with special needs;
• You have an excellent sense of humor and are always in a good mood;
