Our mission is to bring alternative experiences to life, by offering the right tools and services to help people who use mental health services on their road to recovery.

Job description:

We are looking for a Mental Health Worker for a full-time, permanent position of 35 hours / week. Priority is given to daytime work, but flexibility is required for certain activities.

Responsibilities:

• Development of workshops focusing on participants’ skill development, and psycho-educational workshops
• Leading group activities
• Working with our partners
• Volunteer management
• Participation in team meetings
• Participation in training courses offered by the organization
• Support for administrative tasks (statistics, reports, attendance rates and daily attendance)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, psychology, social work
• Bilingual – French/English
• Knowledge of mental health problems
• Ability to lead workshops and psychosocial group activities
• Experience with voice-hearing groups (an asset)
• Experience with Relief self-management workshops (an asset)
• Dynamism, enthusiasm and team spirit
• Respect for the individual and empathy
• Communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility
• Good stress management
