The Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec belongs to a group of 14 member cooperatives in the Inuit communities of Nunavik. The FCNQ was founded in 1967 to provide the fast-growing cooperative movement with the powers and services it needed to achieve its goal of “Atautsikut” Together – working for collective growth, with no one left behind.
Job Description:
Created in 1997 through the efforts of six cooperatives, the service and its network have grown over the years; cooperatives in all fourteen Nunavik communities can now offer cable service to their members. Co-op Cable TV customers are delighted with the digital TV experience, with many programs now available in high definition.
Responsibilities:
- Answer customer calls and provide telephone support to technicians;
- Prepare monthly invoices for cable television customers;
- Prepare and follow up on monthly invoices from signal suppliers;
- Follow up on customer service connections and disconnections;
- Open customer accounts and authorize new receivers ;
- Maintain customer account database and physical files;
- Track equipment shipments to the North;
- Produce monthly reports for cable billing in hotels and during the audit period;
- Process members’ credit card payments ;
- Participation in special mandates for the department;
- All other related tasks to meet the needs of cooperatives and their employees.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience ;
- A minimum of one year experience in a customer service role;
- Experience in billing (asset) ;
- Excellent computer skills (Excel and Word);
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in French and English;
- Excellent customer interaction;
- Teamwork skills ;
- Organizational skills.
