The Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec belongs to a group of 14 member cooperatives in the Inuit communities of Nunavik. The FCNQ was founded in 1967 to provide the fast-growing cooperative movement with the powers and services it needed to achieve its goal of “Atautsikut” Together – working for collective growth, with no one left behind.
Job Description:
As a Warehouse Clerk, every day you make a difference by keeping the North’s supply chain running smoothly with essential goods. They help provide food, clothing and much more. You make a clear and important contribution to the cooperatives and your team. You can see the direct impact of your efforts and see that your hard work is making a real difference.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, label, distribute and package food according to Federation standards;
- Assemble pallets, record contents (quantity, weight, etc.) in worksheets or verify accuracy of worksheets supplied;
- Immediately inform his supervisor of any irregularity or defect;
- Notify supervisor when product expiration dates are approaching;
- Keep your work area clean at all times;
- Operate a forklift, hand truck or other equipment as required to load or unload, transport or store items and pallets;
- Handle and use equipment and materials required to perform tasks safely and hygienically;
- Any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements:
- Work efficiently and manage time well;
- Good physical ability to lift heavy loads;
- Able to work in a team with a positive attitude.
