Job Description:
We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our management team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual operating and capital budget process and oversee its implementation and progress;
- Develop effective financing strategies to support capital requirements, organic growth and potential mergers and acquisitions;
- Ensure sound team management (recruitment, selection, training, skills management, professional development) by supporting succession development;
- Demonstrate leadership for the company as a whole, and support the company’s targets for profitability and growth in a sustained and responsible manner;
- Foster an environment focused on excellence in customer service and quality;
- Oversee all accounting for the various branches (depreciation, payments, payroll, etc.) and prepare monthly and annual financial statements;
- Suggest ways to optimize accounting processes;
- Foster a corporate culture of ethical conduct that promotes integrity and ethics throughout the company;
- Promote and preserve the reputation of the company and its branches in the marketplace and with customers, communities, government agencies and regulators;
- Identify key business risks and develop plans to manage them;
- Establish and update the company’s internal controls over financial reporting through appropriate policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- University degree in business administration with a specialization in finance and/or accounting, combined with CPA certification;
- At least 5 years’ professional experience in a similar position;
- Ability to quickly grasp business issues;
