Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Floor Manager responsible for managing staff rotas, sharing between departments and resolving minor problems. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with multiple team members, including management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and understand staff rotations and the sharing of employees between departments;
- Help and motivate floor team members;
- Maximize employee productivity;
- Create an environment that is dynamic, positive and results-oriented;
- Communicate to employees information related to the smooth running of the company’s activities.
- Be able to prioritize the tasks to be completed.
- Notify buyers of purchasing needs when inventories are low for certain products;
- Respect and promote health and safety rules in the workplace.
- Perform all other related tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years management experience;
- Demonstrates integrity, team spirit and collaboration;
- Is autonomous and adept at problem solving;
- Is polite to others and has a professional appearance;
- Able to lift loads and work standing up for long periods;
- Basic computer skills;
- Experience in horticulture is an asset;
- Written and spoken French required;
- Written and spoken English an asset.
