Job Description:
The Polisher’s main task is to polish metal parts, either manually or semi-automatically, using grinders, grinding wheels, sanders and polishing equipment (abrasives, waxes, cotton wheels, abrasive pastes, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Checks that parts are correctly machined before polishing
- Ensures proper maintenance of equipment and tools
- Polishes parts required for production
- Checks quality against compliance standards
- Use the right polisher for the part to be polished
- Adjusts the Enduroflex polisher to the workpieces to be polished
- Gives or receives factual work-related information of a routine nature
- Complies with health and safety regulations in the workplace
Qualifications:
- Secondary School
- Sheet metal experience (desirable)
- Demonstrate visual acuity
- Have the manual dexterity, strength and physical stamina required to lift and handle parts that often weigh more than 25 kilograms, in addition to having to stand most of the time.
