Job Description:
Skyline Entourage is looking to add a few new employees to its growing service department. Our service technicians assist with order picking, exhibit booth set-up and installation at trade shows, shipping and receiving, and other miscellaneous tasks in our facilities and at event locations.
The ideal candidate enjoys physical labor and construction. The trade show world is a fast-paced environment with many opportunities for upward mobility. The ideal candidate likes to work under tight deadlines, enjoys “MacGyver” type challenges and likes to work in a team environment. Customer service experience is a plus, and bilingualism is imperative.
Candidates must be able to do heavy lifting and ideally have a valid driver’s license, but this is not required. We offer on-the-job training, so no experience is required. This position may require some travel, but it is mainly in Lachine at our facilities and at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal.
Hours may vary depending on project deadlines and when the show is scheduled to be set up and taken down.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of kiosks
- Installation and dismantling of kiosks
- Refurbishment of kiosks
- Receiving and shipping of packages
- Maintenance of the service department and showroom, including inventory control
- Take inventory of clients’ equipment
- Preparation of commercial invoices
- Tracking shipments
- Pack outgoing orders
- Various tasks
Requirements:
- Bilingual
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Must be reliable
- Able to work effectively without supervision
- Ability to solve problems and find solutions
- Experience in the trade show industry (important asset)
- Experience in construction (important asset)
- Some travel required
- Must have steel-toed boots
