Job description

Upholster internal structures such as seats and moldings in accordance with technical drawings and customer specifications. Apply decorative elements such as carpets or upholstery to metal, composite or plastic interior parts of aircraft using a pressure-sensitive, heat-sensitive or spray adhesive.

Responsibilities:
Upholsterers are responsible for installing accessories such as belts and storage harnesses, and must be able to lay out and cut patterns. Upholsterers cut, fit, measure, glue and fix various fabrics and foams.

  • Follows company specifications, work instructions, technical printouts and work orders.
  • Documents materials and/or processes used in the process to maintain traceability.
  • Cleans panels in preparation for the application of foam and decorative materials.
  • Applies decorative material such as carpet and upholstery to the interior of the aircraft, in accordance with applicable specifications.
  • Mix and apply adhesive according to work order instructions, as required, for application of decorating material.
  • Cut and assemble foam blocks with spray adhesive.
  • Cuts decorative materials and dresses interior components.
  • Safely handles various regulated materials used in the process.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years experience
  • Other skills: Ability to read technical drawings is an asset. the employee must be organized and efficient, with good manual dexterity
  • Languages: Working knowledge of French
