Job description:
We currently have an opportunity at CHSLD Vigi Dollard-des-Ormeaux, located at 197 Thornhill Street in Dollard-des-Ormeaux and housing 160 residents, to fill the position of Beneficiary Attendant. A full-time position (day, evening or night).
Responsibilities:
- You will ensure the autonomy, comfort, safety and well-being of residents and their families, within the framework of the care approach and conceptual model in force in the establishment;
- You will provide hygiene care;
- You will be involved in travel assistance;
- You will collaborate with nurses, nursing assistants and other members of the interdisciplinary team on preventive care activities.
Requirements:
- You have a real vocation for long-term care
- You feel fulfilled in the helping relationship, and for you empathy and respect are one and the same.
- You have a DEP Assistance to people in residential healthcare of 750 hours.
- [Or] you have successfully completed a first session of nursing or nursing assistant training (including the PDSB course, as well as practical internships related to the basic care module)
- [Or] you have recent relevant experience as a beneficiary attendant in a healthcare institution, including a PDSB course
- [Or] you have an attestation of professional studies (e.g.: home care assistant course) relevant to geronto-geriatrics, with PDSB and practical internships linked to a basic care module.
- You have a strong ability to work as part of a team
- You are recognized for your commitment to excellence in care and service
- You are highly organized and adaptable.
- You are flexible and autonomous
- Functional English is an asset
