Job Description:
This is a full-time, non-union, junior position based on 37.5 hours per week, reporting to the Assistant General Manager, Customer Service Department, Eastern Region.
Responsibilities :
- Handle customer requests concerning service, routes, shipments and train schedules;
- Check and process reservation requests and related e-mails;
- Coordinate routing requests, FOB bookings and hazardous shipments with the various departments;
- Handle customer detour requests after the ship has sailed;
- Follow up on BL instructions, VGMs and incomplete bookings after the cut-off time;
- Help customers solve problems related to the documentation of their shipments.
Requirements:
- Higher education diploma;
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in freight forwarding or shipping lines, or related experience preferred;
- Good oral and written communication skills;
- Customer service oriented;
- Attention to detail and team spirit;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
