Job Description:
We are looking for an Operations Manager to optimize all company processes. The incumbent will also manage various special projects.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of company operations in the various departments (administration, sales, service, human resources and parts);
- Participates in management committee meetings and ensures implementation of decisions taken at meetings concerning his or her area of responsibility;
- Analyze existing processes in order to optimize them and implement the necessary controls in the various departments;
- Participates in drawing up operating budgets;
- Participates in establishing financial and operational performance indicators;
- Measures, monitors and analyzes performance indicators (profitability, costs, etc.) on a regular basis, and identifies corrective measures with the management committee;
- Prepares periodic management reports for the company, presenting them to the Executive Committee with recommendations based on the results achieved;
- Develops operations plan and manuals, policies, procedures, performance and quality standards;
- Ensures the application and continuous optimization of the plan and operations manuals to enhance the company’s performance and profitability, and keeps the relevant stakeholders informed of any changes;
- Ensures the application of the main supplier’s standards and, if necessary, transmits information to the management committee;
- Ensures that the company’s operations are running smoothly, and is able to make corrections quickly to adjust certain situations;
- Participates in the company’s strategic planning;
- Mobilizes and supports team members in the company’s development as well as their own;
- Responsible for overseeing the operations of the company’s externally managed IT services;
- Responsible for human resources, ensuring optimal use of these resources to achieve set objectives, while distributing the workload according to each person’s skills;
- Participates in the employer image strategy to position the company as an employer of choice;
- Ensures the application of human resources management policies and informs the Executive Committee as required;
- Selects, hires, develops and evaluates staff under his/her supervision.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in administration or industrial engineering or other relevant field;
- Three (3) years management experience (distribution/logistics/retail sector) an asset; Analytical mindset focused on process development and improvement;
- Ability to provide solutions and manage several files simultaneously;
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial statements;
- Mastery of key performance indicators;
- Good knowledge of inventory management and procurement;
- Computer skills;
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written);
- Valid driving license.
