Job Description:
In these times of major economic and social development in Nunavik, short-term accommodation has become an essential cog in the wheel for the success of all major projects. The reservations clerk is responsible for taking reservations by telephone, fax or e-mail, as well as all related operations. You’ll also have to optimize room occupancy in line with our hotels’ policies.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that incoming calls are answered professionally and courteously
- Take reservations and make changes with the customer if necessary
- Process written and electronic reservations
- Drafting group contracts
- Manage group reservations
- Optimize room occupancy
- Auditioning at night
- Produce monthly reports on occupancy statistics
- Provide customers with information about our facilities and the region
- Register customers as required on arrival on the central reservations system
- Give customers and employees access codes to rooms
- Opening and filing files
- Any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications:
- At least two years’ experience in a customer service environment (reservations center or complaint management center)
- Experience in the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of the Hotello system (asset)
- Must be able to communicate, both orally and in writing, in French and English.
